Abstract
Two rare cases of carpal tunnel syndrome caused by calcification in the carpal tunnel are reported. Carpal tunnel syndrome is easily diagnosed by history taking, physical examination and nerve conduction velocity study. Our cases demonstrate that the compression of median nerve is caused by double clutches of thickened carpal ligament and calcified mass in the carpal tunnel. We suggest that clinicians pay attention to simple X-ray findings preoperatively.
Key Words: Carpal tunnel syndrome, Ectopic calcification, X-ray.
