There are lots of lesions causing pains of spinal origin and lots of painful syndromes in the pain of spinal origin, and also lots of pain-relieving techniques for pains of spinal origin. Although the comprehensive treatment of the cause of painful lesions in the spine is the definite treatment of choice, it is often challenging and difficult for physicians dealing pains of spinal origin. In this session, the author would like to focus into the degenerative spinal pathology and would like to present the author's most favorite means for pains of spinal origin, two simple palliative techniques among various non-invasive techniques, those are the simple blocks (selective nerve root block (SNRB) and medial branch block (MBB)) which requires only basic instruments and fluoroscopy, and Radiofrequency treatment, especially pulsed radiofrequency treatment (PRF), spinal cord stimulation (SCS) which also requires only basic equipments and fluoroscopy. |
