Abstract |
Objective Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) is effective for neurogenic forms of pain. Sometimes that SCS also may influence
nociceptive pain components. The mixed pain syndrome is presumably that most common indication for SCS. We assess the
effect of the synergy spinal cord stimulation in our hospital.
Materials and Methods: We had operated 12 spinal cord stimulation operation during last 2 years. 6 among them was Synergy
spinal cord stimulation electrodes. The indications were 3 failed back surgery syndromes, 2 spinal cord injuries, 1 cauda equina
syndrome.
Results Male to female was 5:1. VAS was decresed from 9.4 to 3.6. There was no complications.
Conclusion Specify spinal cord stimulation is very effective for intractable neuropathic pain. |
